In Scott’s words, possibly the most significant car he has ever worked on in his career. The lightweight E-Type 4WPD, as said by Philip Porter in the book published about this vehicle “the most important competition jaguar E-type”, raced by some of our all-time heroes including Sir Jackie Stuart.
For this project, we reinstated the original interior trim which had been found in a previous owner’s loft. As you can imagine, after that length of time in a bag in a loft it was pretty worse for wear, it had shrunk, was all out of shape and some bits were so delicate it was almost impossible to move them. Persistence and care ensured we reinstated this interior to its rightful place – this wasn’t trimming, it wasn’t restoration, this was preservation.
