D-Type

Designed specifically to win the Le Mans 24-hour race, the slippery D-Type was produced by Jaguar Cars between 1954 and 1957.
Sharing the straight 6 XK engine and many mechanical components with its C-Type predecessor, its structure however was radically different. D-Types won Le Mans in 1955, 1956 and 1957.

The D-Type has always been a personal favourite of Scott’s, and it’s easy to see why. There is not a lot of trim in these vehicles, so we tailored a custom cockpit cover, in mohair, using only existing fixing points on the body so no holes were made in the body.
